We announced it at the May FNL Best Restaurant Awards 2024 ceremony, and it`s time to make it happen! FNL is launching the survey that will lead to the designation of Sustainability Conscious restaurants among those that receive an award and the corresponding Special Award for those that actively excel in the "green" mindset.

Unfortunately, we are now experiencing climate change due to increasing greenhouse gas emissions, probably the top global problem today. It is clear that the time has come for us all to do something about it, and each of us must do our fair share.

We at FNL, have started by reversing the carbon footprint of our events and awards. Believing in the freedom to choose the theme, raw materials, location, and eating habits for our events, we measured each event`s carbon footprint. Then, we took the necessary steps to undo it in partnership with Blue Marble. Meanwhile, during the FNL Best Restaurant Awards 2024 ceremony last May, we announced that the sustainability, sustainability, eco-consciousness and activism of restaurants - which we award for their culinary performance - will be a special award from 2025.

The designation in our guide of Sustainability-Conscious restaurants among those awarded and the corresponding Special Award that will be given to those restaurants that actively excel in the "green" mindset send a message to the restaurant market. We aspire to inspire a change in mindset in the country`s restaurants.

From the next few days, we will gradually start sending out a specially designed questionnaire—with the help of Blue Marble, which is also a Gold Sponsor of our awards—that aims not only to collect valuable information for our evaluation but also to provide a roadmap for a change in mindset and "green" action by restaurants and consumers.
