FNL Best Restaurant Awards 2026: The Stars of Athens

These are the 75 Athenian restaurants awarded one or more stars for 2026 by the FNL Best Restaurant Awards.

From 2025 onwards, the way restaurants are presented has evolved, placing even greater emphasis on the principle of “best in its category” when it comes to the one-star distinction. Restaurants are now listed by rating tier for four, three and two stars, followed by the one-star establishments grouped by cuisine category.

These are the 75 Athenian restaurants awarded at least one star at the FNL Best Restaurant Awards 2026, as evaluated by the awards committee.

This year, no restaurant achieved the highest distinction of four stars. Seven restaurants were awarded three stars, two of them for the first time. Twenty-five restaurants received two stars, with six gaining a second star this year and one losing it. Forty-three restaurants were awarded one star, with nine losing their star and eleven earning one for the first time.

Among the 75 awarded restaurants, eleven receive a star for the first time or regain it. Of these, four opened in the past year and are marked as Newcomer, while the remaining seven are designated as New Entry.
